IMED has provided CME credits for previous meetings and has applications pending for IMED 2018.

19th International Congress on Infectious Diseases - 2020
The 19th ICID will be held in KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA in February 2020. We look forward to returning to Asia, to KL, a great venue and another exciting meeting.
Linda MacKinnon joins ProMED as the new Assistant Director. Linda is a public health professional with global experience in infectious disease surveillance and epidemiology.

2018 ISID Research Grant Awards
The ISID Research Grants were very competitive this year with more than 334 proposals received. Research Grants were awarded to:

  • Ms. Peris Wambugu (Kenya) The 2018 Norman Stein grantee for the highest ranked proposal
  • Ms. Wa Ode Dwi Daningrat (Armenia)
  • Dr. Clement Adu-Gyamfi (South Africa)
  • Dr. Tharaka Ranathunge & Mr. N.W.B.A.L. Udayanga (Sri Lanka)
  • Dr. Myo Muang Muang Swe (Myanmar)
  • Mr. Begashaw Melaku Gebresillassi (Ethiopia)
  • Dr. Junior Mudji (Dem. Republic of Congo)
  • Dr. Emmanuel Ngbede (Nigeria)

18th ICID Abstract Supplement published in the IJID
The variety of topics covered by the more than 750 abstracts presented at the Congress reflect ISID’s central mission, to focus on the burden of infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with particular emphasis on infections of paramount importance in the host country and region, and to provide a forum for healthcare professionals from all areas of infection-related practice to unite and interact.

International Journal of Infectious Diseases

The official publication of the ISID, the International Journal of Infectious Diseases is published in an open access format on a monthly basis. The IJID aims to provide a source of information relevant to professionals involved in the epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, treatment and control of infectious diseases. The Journal emphasizes those diseases which are most common in under-resourced countries.
